Littering:
Littering is against the law. It is unsightly and may cause a traffic accident. For example, a lit cigarette thrown out of your car window can be blown into the vehicle behind you, causing property damage or personal injury. If a judge finds you guilty of littering, you may have to pay up to a $1,000 fine and/or spend up to one year in jail.
