When using a deceleration lane to exit a roadway:
Start slowing down as soon as you enter the deceleration lane and continue slowing until you are driving at the posted advisory speed for the ramp. Before entering the ramp, maintain a safe speed and do not interrupt the flow of traffic by decelerating.
